WHAT IF Jose Reyes is out for the remainder of the season?

WHAT IF Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado, and Jose Reyes come back and do not play at a high level the remainder of the season?

WHAT IF this team is 20 games out by the beginning of September?

WHAT IF Citi Field is a ghost town a majority of the second half? Embarrassing!

If there are no meaningful September baseball games for the Mets this year, then there should be a complete and thorough examination of who is to blame for these problems. I am tired of hearing the injury excuse. It will be interesting to see how this team is playing in mid August and what their record is. It might just help be able to answer the startling question of………….
