Why I’m Pulling for the Yankees
Its This Guy that is Part of the Reason the Yankees are Worth Cheering For

Once upon a time in a place far, far away, there was a young boy who grew up without the Mets on TV. Without them, the Yankees were the only game in town, and of course at the time that this boy started to like sports, the Yankees started winning titles. This boy cheered his heart out when the Yankees beat the Braves in 96 and the Padres in 98, including sitting in the RF 2nd Deck when Tino Martinez took Mark Langston deep for a Grand Slam in Game 1 of that 1998 World Series.
It was around that time that Cablevision decided to bless this young man with Fox Sports Net and the New York Mets on his television in Westchester. With the 1999 NLCS being so exciting and the Mets of that time being more of the gritty and fun team to watch then the dominant Yankees, the young man made a lead of faith that led him to become a Mets fan. The 2000 Subway Series when he pulled for the Mets being the final straw. The Yankees went from friend to foe and this kid never looked back.
In case your wondering who that boy was, it was me. I was a Yankee fan, I can admit it and feel fine with it. The 1996 and 1998 World Series were awesome for me and I will never forget the joy of winning them. But when I was 11 I made the final decision and went with the Mets and will never go back. Although with this Nightmare season having its Nightmare end, I personally want to pick one side between the Fighting Fu*ks and the Yankee$ and im going with the Yankees.

5. I Live in New York
Hey folks, I know it sucks having to deal with Yankee fans rubbing it in our faces, but we all know that its time to come together as a city and make sure that we dont allow a city full of morons like the city of Philadelphia get another title, they need to go another 25 years without one and I would prefer it if this year was year one of that drought.
4. Phillies Fans are more Obnoxious then Yankee Fans
Hey, some of my best friends are Yankee fans and although they like to give me crap, they should, there team currently and in the past is better, so I gotta deal with it. Phillies fans have won 2 titles in 125 years and they walk around like their $hit dont stink. But if they win another one and go back to back and then get to to say they have more then us, I think I would go Postal, and that wouldnt be good.
3. The Yankees dont play in my division or league so I hate them less
Outside of the 6 times that we do play them, Mets fans need to stop giving a crap about what they do. They wont keep us out of the Divison title race and from winning the Pennant. If we face em again in the World Series then I will worry about everything they do, but the Phillies are in my backyard and are doing things bigger and better then us and that pisses me off more then the guy who is doing the same thing but is doing it up the block.
2. 26 or 27, Guess What? It Doesnt Matter
You think that if you cheer for the Phillies and the Yankees lose that it will make the Yankee fans shut up? HA. I mean they blew a 3-0 lead in the playoffs, the first time in MLB Playoffs and they rip us for choking. So trust me, no matter win or lose, they are gonna talk and talk alot. But if the Phillies lose, not only can we say that New York as a whole is better the the City of Brotherly Crap but then we can direct Yankee fans in the direction of Philly fans in Queens and let the filthies fans hear about how the Yankees kicked the Phillies ass. Lets be the puppetmaster, and not the puppets.
1. The Phillies are just a bunch of Cocky Jerks
Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera win with class and are legends that we have been lucky to see in person. Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley and Shane Victordouche are fuc*ing morons who dont deserve have the nice things that the national media ( JON HEYMAN ) heaps upon them. They are a team that needs to be knocked down a peg or two and I think the Yankees are the kind of team that can do it, cause we know damn well the Mets arent that team.
Well thats my opinion, whats yours? I hope you enjoy the World Series and lets hope the Phillies die a slow and painful death.

Where does it say that he was a Proud Yankee Fan? and Furthermore, he was a Yankee fan when he was 8..9..10 years old? I mean he made the switch when he was 11 years old, Its not like he was a fan of the Yankees yesterday. Relax Lets Go, I guess you can considered a fake for cheering for the Phillies then

I hate to do it but I have to root for the skankees. Most of the yankee fans I know are decent people. But I just don’t like the Phillies. Every time I see Shane Victorino, or Chase Utley I get sick to my stomach. They just have that rediculous smug look on their face and I drives me crazy. Nothing would make me feel better than Cole Hamels getting lit up. Those jacka__es drive me insane!
well for me it is a easy decision to make on who to root for here, it’s the Phillies…
1- I live in NYC & at the work place I am outnumebered by these arrogant Yankee fans.
2- I am a NL guy
3- The Yankees are the EVIL EMPIRE!
4- The Phils, if they win, won’t have their parade in my back yard, if the Yanks win, well….
I herd on SNY that it was 50 50 as far as Met fans siding on a winner.
I have always hated the Yankees. Only recently have I realized why I hate the Phillies, and any Mets fan who lives within a few miles of Philadelphia will agree with me-their fans are idiots. They have no clue what they’re talking about, act like they have the greatest team ever with their one World Series every 63 years or so and 10,000 losses. Mind you, I have been going to just about every Phillies vs. Mets series at Citizens Bank Park since 2006 or so (with the exception of this year, don’t want to be the victim of someone getting sent to that jail in the stadium that we don’t have), they are phrontrunners. 2006, easily, half the stadium was Mets fans (or people wearing Mets hats). By 2008, it was nearly all Phillies fans.
The ignorance of the Phillies fans has caused me to root for the Yankees.
