What do you think of the new/old look jerseys?

Uniforms have always seemed to be a trendy topic with Mets fans. You can log on to any forum or blog and usually see a few threads regarding uniforms and what changes fans think should be made to them. I must say, I was bit irked by what the Mets did this past season.
I remember the first time they wore the black uniforms with the Mets script on the road. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I was seeing correctly. I figured that maybe the clubhouse manager Charlie Samuels just figured maybe a change would be good for a few weeks, so why not try the home black alternates on the road? Well to my surprise, it wasn’t a trial run.
The Mets had zapped their black road uniforms with the “New York” print going across the chest. Who knows why? Nobody. If anything, it would have been better to keep those and vanish the home black uniforms, because everyone loves pinstripes at home- and that is just what they’re going to get.
The Mets have confirmed that in 2010, they will introduce a new uniform for the team. Michael Baron of MetsBlog.com writes that the team will be introducing a new, pinstriped cream colored jersey for the new season. He visited a Mets clubhouse shop and they told him that the jerseys have arrived in the store and will go on sale November 27th.
The jerseys seem to resemble those of the 1960’s pretty well. The cream color will be similar to that of the San Francisco Giants.
Personal Reaction: I mean, alright. Sure the pinstriped cream colored jersey sounds cool, but do we really need a new uniform? How about the team shifts their focus to improving their performance, not their look. I understand the concept behind it- but I get the feeling that it may not look as good as people, including me, think it will. Will I get one? Sure, I probably will end up getting one with no name on the back, only because I always get sucked up in the hype of a new type of Mets apparel.
Or maybe I’ll get a customized Joe McEwing? Hmm…

GET RID OF ALL BLACK JERSEYS!!! THE HATS, TOO! Keep it simple! the Mets look great with the road grays and the TRADITIONAL blue caps! A perfect day is when you go to Citi and they have the pinstripes and the blue hats! the jerseys without the pinstripes are nice, so I’d keep them around, but please let’s started looking like the Mets and get rid of all forms of black in our unis!
I have to agree.
For home uniforms, use white pinstripes with blue hats.
For the road jerseys, grey with blue hats also.
Keep it simple.
